Experimentation is essential. In addition to commonly used tools, such as scissors, tape, and markers, students are gradually introduced to new tools in a carefully managed environment. The goal is to build tool confidence and independence at a developmentally appropriate pace, taking into account each student’s readiness and the overall classroom dynamic.
